Mega-Column Steel Pedestal Cap Plates
The Mega-Column Steel Pedestal Cap Plates have been installed. These caps are approximately 10-inches thick and weigh 5,000 pounds. They will ‘cap’ the tops of the Mega-Columns and will support the entire 200 x 200 Exhibition Level Structure (and part of the staircases). The ‘dead load’ (empty deck) of the Exhibition Level is over 10,000,000 pounds.
