Progress Update #38 – Overview/Project Accomplishments:

• Installing rebar reinforcement for slab pour #10B.
• Installing MEP risers inside of Mega-Columns.
• Welding Knuckle Columns to top of Mega-Columns.
• Installing metal decking on top of structural steel.
• Installing site storm water lines.
• Installed main electrical duct bank manhole.

UTILITY RISERS AKA ‘CANDY CANES’

The Utility Risers for all systems have been set in each mega-column.  The Utility Risers, AKA ‘Candy Canes,’ bundles various utilities from the Rotunda to the Exhibit Level within each mega-column.  The ‘Candy Canes’ were lowered by crane in through the tops of the mega-columns.  Shout out to Linbeck and The Brandt Companies!
